  • Featuring His Eminence Thuksey Rinpoche and acclaimed author Andrew Harvey the film is set in Ladakh, the remote Northern Himalayan region in India.

In the film Andrew returns to visit the reincarnation of his Spiritual Teacher, now reborn and living again governing the region based on the Buddhist principle of compassion in action and who has returned to earth to serve humanity in the tradition of a Bodhisattva- one who exists to relieve the suffering of others until they reach enlightenment.

“Through this film I hope to give a voice to the voice to the voiceless, the animals, the trees and environment so that we can better understand the world in which we live in.”

    - His Eminence Thuksey Rinpoche

As independent filmmakers we strongly feel the work and message of His Eminence Thuksey Rinpoche needs to be seen for others to be inspired and learn from and we are in a position to do it!

We have fantastic support from our Executive Producers at Elstree Studios in London and our Sales Agents in LA who will bring the film once it is complete to the international broadcasters. However, to do this we need your help in funding the film. So have a look at our fantastic limited edition ‘Live to Love’ T Shirts and get involved in supporting the film to be made!

On Why The Film Is Important

  • Live to Love: Compassion In Action!

H.E. Thuksey’s message and work revolves around ‘compassion in action’ and his focus is on three key areas:

    • Climate change: Ladakh is already affected by drought and is implementing solutions to tackle the challenges being faced.
    • Animal welfare: Thuksey Rinpoche offers compassion to sick and injured animals, particularly stray dogs in rescue centres he has setup and says that the wellbeing of a society can be seen through how they treat their animals.
    • Children and future generations: Thuksey Rinpoche is the principal of a children’s school in Ladakh and understands the importance of educating the next generation to respond to the most pressing needs of our time.

    About His Eminence Thuksey Rinpoche

Born in Ladakh in 1986, His Eminence Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche was recognised by H.H. 14th Dalai Lama and H.H. 12th Gyalwang Drukpa as the reincarnation of the first Kyabje Thuksey Rinpoche – a prominent figure in Himalayan Buddhism during the last century. After his exile from Tibet, he ensured the continuity, legacy and teaching of the Drukpa School of Buddhism, establishing one of its main monasteries, Druk Thubten Sangag Choeling, in Darjeeling India.

His Eminence Thuksey Rinpoche spent most of his childhood in this monastery before continuing his education for nine years at the prestigious Tango University in Bhutan. An accomplished meditation master, His Eminence has taken on many responsibilities including the management of the monastery in Darjeeling, the Druk Pema Karpo School – an award-winning educational project in Ladakh, and the Drukpa centres of Buddhist studies and meditation in Europe. He is an articulate advocate of compassion in action, having also set up an animal sanctuary in the Himalayas. His Eminence is part of the young generation of Buddhist Masters who bring a contemporary and modern approach to Buddhism and spirituality. He speaks fluent English and is able to teach from a depth of realisation, communicating the essence of Buddhist teachings in an engaging manner.
